Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address - Used for account recovery and important notifications
• Full name - Optional display name you may choose to share
• Username - Your unique 6-digit hex color code (e.g., "FB7F25")
• Profile image - Optional photo or avatar you upload
• Bio text - Optional description about yourself
• Website link - Optional link to your personal website

User-Generated Content

We collect content you create and share on ColorSocial:

• Posts - Text content you publish
• Images - Photos uploaded to posts (up to 4 per post)
• Videos - Video content uploaded to posts
• GIFs - GIFs selected from our Giphy integration
• Comments - Responses you leave on posts
• Direct messages - Private conversations (1:1 and group chats)

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect information about your activity:

• Follow/follower relationships
• Likes on posts and comments
• Repost activity
• Blocked/muted user lists
• Activity notifications (likes, follows, comments, reposts)
• Bookmarked posts

Privacy Settings (User-Controlled)

You have control over these privacy options:

• Private account toggle - Require approval for new followers
• Activity status visibility - Control who sees when you're online
• DM permissions - Choose between followers only or anyone

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your ColorSocial account
• Display your content to other users within your color community

3. Third-Party Services

ColorSocial uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase by Google - We use Firebase for authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage. Firebase is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Giphy - We integrate Giphy for GIF search and display. Usage is subject to Giphy's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage

• Your data is stored securely on Firebase servers (Google Cloud)
• Images and videos are stored in Firebase Storage with appropriate security rules
• Each ColorSocial app (Orange, Blue, Red, etc.) has isolated data - posts in one color app do NOT appear in other color apps
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained until you choose to delete your account. When you delete your account, ALL data is permanently removed, including:

• All posts and their media (images/videos)
• All comments you've made
• All likes you've given
• All messages and conversations
• All follow relationships
• All activity notifications
• All blocked/muted lists
• Your complete user profile

Important: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access - View your data through your profile settings
• Edit - Modify your profile information at any time
• Delete - Remove your account and all associated data (per Apple App Store requirements)
• Control - Manage your privacy settings for your account

7. Children's Privacy

ColorSocial is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
